His teaching style emphasizes accurate technique and a clear, linear progression that builds on each previous class. Students constantly remark that their skills have improved vastly after just a few classes under Woolf’s instruction which has created a very dedicated following of this young phenom.

Julian’s message to all Jiu Jitsu students regardless of age or ability is the same “Just show up to class.” His teaching style is calm, patient and perfect for both beginners as well as experienced practitioners.

When not practicing Jiu Jitsu Julian spends as much time as possible outdoors surfing, hiking and cross-training.
